STAGES OF MANUFACTURING

coil.jpg (760625 bytes) circling.jpg (361060 bytes)
Aluminum coils shown above are purchased in large volumes, typically around 40,000 lbs. per size.  We use a 3003.0 temp coil which comes direct from the mill

All aluminum must go through a circling process as  we are doing above.  This requires that each individual piece is handled by our trained technician.

Equipment  selection, material prep,  welding technique, visually inspecting weldments to ensure high-quality gas-metal-and gas tungsten-arc welds on aluminum alloys are key to quality product.  Even for those experienced in welding steels, welding aluminum alloys can present quite a challenge. Metal spinning is a metal working process by which, in our case, the large flat circle aluminum is placed on the mandrel above.  A trained tech then applies a wheel with  pressure that is  controlled by computer, to lay out the aluminum so that it forms (work hardens) to the mandrel.  We use extreme care to measure the pressures of each spinning.

Mandrels can spin various sizes of aluminum  thus giving you a different focal diameter than what we offer as standard.  Notice that mandrels are made of both steel and wood.     Should you have a special need we can offer you the option to purchase a mandrel / tooling that we cut from a block of wood.  The mandrel above was once a large square chuck of wood that has been cut at our factory by our trained professionals.

Antennas, once spun, must go through a cleaning process that requires acaustic alkiyd wash, bath rinse, priming and than   painting.  We than hang the antennas to dry as we show above.

Standard color is beige and we do offer custom color for an additional fee.

Steel is purchased in large volume. We custom cut each piece to our specs.  The carbon content is most important factor of steel for weldability. We use both spot and seam welding.  This welder has over 15 yrs experience in welding.

Stacking of the ring for these mounts help to eliminate space that is required for storage in the warehouse.  Typical stacking above also shows how we can ship economically for large volume orders.

We warehouse a fair amount of our standard inventory as shown above. This allows for DH make manufacture in large quantify which helps reduce your cost.

The Dual Powered Gibralter mounts above are our Top-of-the-line mount. These units are massive in size and are stored in upright position until shipped.  Motors are protected with special wrap to eliminate moisture from entering while stored.  This is the finished DH antenna with our Galvanized Dual Powered Gibralter.  DH offers "Installation Assist" for all antennas.  Your antenna can be handled by DH from beginning to end.   Ask for details.
